IDENTITY

Ukiyo’s Unknown (UU) is a research based fashion studio exploring human behavior through clothing, imagery, and narrative. Our work sits between anthropology and poetics, what we call anthropoetic design: garments as studies, characters as evidence, collections as field notes on the modern self.

Every offering begins with a question, not a trend. We observe the quiet rituals, contradictions, and emotional terrains people move through. Solitude, identity, discipline, yearning, and translate them into forms that feel lived in, imperfect, and real. 

UU is not here to escape reality. We’re here to study it.
